Band Instrument Rental and Purchase Options

Due to the high volume of inquiries at this time of year, please understand that we will try to return your call to us within 24 hours.
All instruments are available on a first come - first served basis,
determined by when initial payment is received on a rental or purchase!
All of Rancho Canyon Music's rental instruments are tested and cleaned during the offseason to insure playability.
Rental pricing depends upon several factors, mainly age and quality of the instrument.
Prices are all based on stock on hand.

    Renting Month-to-Month

  • Renter pays a fixed rental rate (depending on the make and type of instrument, and maintenance option selected) on a month-to-month basis.

  • After the initial two-month minimum rental time, the instrument can be returned at any time with no further obligation as long as rental payments are current and the instrument is in good condition.

  • During the term of rental, the renter will supply to Rancho Canyon Music a valid Visa, MasterCard or American Express number which will be automatically charged on the monthly anniversary date of rental.

  • The first three months of rental payments may be applied to the purchase of the instrument that is being rented.

    This plan is usually best for beginning music students
    or those who are not yet certain of their level of commitment.

    Option-to-Buy

  • Renter pays a fixed rental rate (depending on the make and type of instrument, and maintenance option selected) on a month-to-month basis.

  • Rental rates are increased by a rate that depends on the instrument, and all rental fees (excluding tax and maintenance fees) are applied toward the purchase of a new instrument. The purchase price of the instrument is noted in the "Total Price" box of the Rental Agreement.

  • The renter will supply to Rancho Canyon Music a valid Visa, MasterCard or American Express number which will be automatically charged on the monthly anniversary date of rental for the duration of the rental term (depending on the instrument, usually from 12 to 18 months). Upon completion of all payments, the Renter owns the instrument.

  • Renter may return the instrument at any time with no further obligation as long as rental payments are current and the instrument is in good condition.

  • Early Purchase - If, during the rental term, the Renter elects to purchase the instrument early, Rancho Canyon Music will deduct 20% from the remaining balance due (provided that all rental payments are current and the instrument is in good condition).

    The Option-to-Buy plan is usually best for students who are fairly certain of their level of interest and who would like to eventually own an instrument.




    • Comprehensive Maintenence Program (C.M.P.)

    On certain instruments, the renter may opt to pay an additional C.M.P. fee added to their monthly rental bill. This plan covers the renter in the event that the instrument is damaged in "normal wear & tear". The renter simply brings their instrument to Rancho Canyon Music for repair at no cost to the renter, and will recieve a loaner instrument - additionally at no cost to the renter - and we will call you when your instrument is ready!

    The C.M.P. for Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet or Trombone is $3 per month.
    For all Saxophones, the fee is $5 per month.
    C.M.P. is not available for Violin, Cello, Viola or Acoustic Guitar.
